Actor Jang Keun Suk was cast in the role of a lead male character in the great director Yoon Suk Ho’s new drama.
On the 8th, an official said Jang Keun Suk will play the role of the lead male character in the drama, Singing in the rain.
The drama will be director Yoon Suk Ho’s typical melodrama such as Autumn Fable and Winter Sonata. It will air next year.
The drama, which will be made by Autumn Fable and Winter Sonata director Yoon, and Jang Keun Suk, a new Korean Wave star, will be also a popular drama in Asian countries.
Director Yoon said, “I can’t talk about the cast for the drama yet. I’m concentrating on writing the script now.”
Yoon’s new drama was supposed to air later this year through KBS, but got canceled due to late preparation.
Meanwhile, director Yoon was born in 1957 and entered KBS in 1985 as a producer. He produced many popular dramas, including, Tomorrow is love, Feelings, Color, Propose, and more.
Autumn Fable and Winter Sonata were very popular in Asian countries. He also became popular after the dramas. Winter Sonata also helped Bae Yong Jun become a top Korean Wave star.
